Compliance starts with context
No component is compliant in isolation. Suitability depends on the user group, building fabric, room layout, door or wall system, fire strategy, maintenance plan and final installation.
Accessible washrooms
Review position, reach, visual contrast, transfer space, fixing substrate and the approved room layout. Confirm final dimensions and performance against the project specification.
Fire door hardware
Treat the leaf, frame, closer, latch, hinges, seals, glazing and ironmongery as one evidenced door set. Replacement parts must not undermine the door-set evidence or closing performance.
Door safety and anti-ligature products
Use a documented risk assessment. Specialist hardware reduces particular hazards but cannot replace observation, maintenance, operational controls or competent installation.
Access control and emergency release
Coordinate normal security, emergency egress, fail-safe behaviour, signage, power loss and fire-system interfaces.
